Sorry this is a late post, since I normally post my freebies in the morning. Today is farmer's market day and on Wednesdays I try and get there early to get the best pickings and the best lighting for photos of fruit, flowers, veggies, etc. The boys actually behaved today, no tantrums over flea market cars and trucks. The NASCAR guy who sells collectible NASCAR items is the guy we have to stay away from---his table is a tantrum waiting to happen. I refuse to spend like $60 for a matchbox size NASCAR. 3 year olds do not understand that logic.....

I finally completed the third set of overlays for the "Gone Fishing" series. I may do more, I'm not sure. I made them as I was gearing up to make an "Angler" add-on or complimentary kit. So don't be surprised if you see some of these overlays making an appearance in that future kit. Anyway, here is a preview of the third set, click on the image to get to the product in my store at Divine Digital. If you don't have a coupon code to use, use bekind and you will get 25% off.

So I am moving on to my texture photos today and making some more overlays and stock photos for design use. Every week when I am at the farmer's market or at the park with my boys I get strange looks and comments from people wondering what in the world I am doing taking pictures of a dirty tarp, gravel, mud, food, tree bark, etc. Well, this is why. My freebie today is from a photo I took last week at the farmer's market and it is a close up shot of a leaf that I sized down to 12x12 and made into an overlay for texture and included the 12x12 color photo for those who prefer to make their own overlays or use the photo for color. I hope you enjoy this freebie and make sure you come here tomorrow for Day 12 freebies for "Daddy's Candy."

Click on the image to download, say hi if you do here, there or anywhere (except those nasty blogs!):

Have a wonderful day and I'll be back tomorrow with Day 12 freebie for "Daddy's Candy."

Best,

Cyndi

My pictures don't seem to come out worth a hoot ... or I haven't played with them enough. :-(

Thanks for the awesome overlay, Cyndi! My brother is starting a new business and has asked my husband to build him a website. I might try using your CU Overlay (or 2 or 3) and try and come up with a background for the site.

You're as amazing as the designs you create!

Hi Cyndi,

I feel that I must comment. As a customer, I have designers that I feel have great products and others that have products I really don't like. I think that this is true for all digiscrapers. I believe you sold your lovely products on its own website several years back where I first became a fan of your designs. I love your creations!

I've read the blog you mentioned and other blogs where all these nasty comments are made about digiscrap designers, and they need to stop. Do they honestly think it makes them or there product look better? It's up to me the consumer to make the choice. All this stuff about your grab bag(s) is nonsense!!! Okay, maybe they didn't like the recent ones, but I've bought some from other designers and wasn't so pleased, so be it - it's a grab bag!!! I would like to know what's in them i.e. brushes, elements, word art, papers, etc.

I love your products and will buy your products for pete's sake it's a grab bag!!! It's suppose to be FUN! I'm really sorry that you and other dedicated and talented individuals have to put up with this craziness, because its mean spirited and quite honestly, annoying. There are so many horrible things in the world and this is SCRAPBOOKING -memories... happiness...fun...joy...fun...friendship....sharing....creativity!!!!

So, chin up girl! You're wonderful, awesome, and generous!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for the terrific freebies!!!!

Cyndi-I get such a kick out of your stories of your boys' antics. My son and daughter are 16 and 14 now and though there are still antics, oft times they are not nearly so cute, lol. Thanks so much for sharing!
