I am so excited about my Memorial Day freebie that I put together for all of you. I have been browsing public domain images from the government and I used several in this little kit. Basically, public domain images are images belonging to the public and there is no longer a copyright on the image or there never was so they are fine for personal and commercial use. But I must warn you, if you plan on using any public domain images make sure you read the fine print so that you know for sure they are okay to use in your designs or layouts. Most of the images are scanned images of historical documents, military photos, national park images, etc. So here it is, my Memorial Day mini-kit
"Remember"....Click on the image to download and remember, personal use only and comments are always read and welcome!
This little freebie is a prelude to a kit I am putting in my store for the 4th of July. Right now the kit is called
"Liberty" and I am using some historical images to create the papers and elements that will give it kind of a historical/nostalgic feel. It should be pretty cool and different than anything out there for the festive fourth.
Yesterday I had a post from a blogger, "Rose," who had ordered something from store at Divine Digital and was having trouble downloading the kit. Unfortunately, sometimes these things happen. the best thing to do is email me at
cyndi@divinedigital.com or
wetmiller@verizon.net and I can help you out with the download process and work out any problems you are having. So Rose, email me!
Someone also posted a comment asking about the "new program" I mentioned I was using. I use Photoshop Elements 5.o and Photoshop 7 to create my designs. The program I discussed in that post was actually a set of actions called "PhotoBlast All Pro" and it is basically a set of actions for photographers to enhance their photographs. So far I really like it and I can't wait to try it out on CS2 when it arrives---yes, I bit the dust and ordered it. I was so jealous of all the designs I was seeing that I know were being made with CS2 that I just couldn't wait any longer. I use PSE 5 to make layouts and some elements but most of my kits are done in the full PS7. So I'm excited to try CS2!!!!
And to end this post I must once again plug my "Ready! Set! Shoot!" photo challenge at Divine Digital. Please join me! I am lonely with the exception of a few loyal divine angels! I am giving out a quickpage from one of my kits for EACH layout you post. So check it out, dust off the camera, go out and shoot a photo and let us see you stuff!!! Here is the link to challenge:
