Not only is Divine Digital having a great sale, with every purchase over $10 being 16% off (some exclusions, include the Grab Bag Sale), there is going to be another Grab Bag Sale starting tomorrow and I am just tickled with my bag!!!!! If any of my blogging buddies read this, if you buy my $2 Grab Bag at Divine Digital this weekend, I will send you a matching alpha!!!!!

Here is the preview (hint, hint about the colors!). My grab bag has over 60 MB of product and for some reason, perhaps it is my DSL, it took just about all day to upload it. I'm just so glad it finally is uploaded and while I waited I made this matching alpha:

And of course tomorrow I will have a Friday Freebie and most likely it will match my grab bag (hint, hint----again!!!). This week I was slow on the freebie end of things but I was really busy with my full time job---being mommy. One of my boys had the croup this week and now the other one has a cold. Not to mention all the other things that go with being mommy to two little boys still in diapers, one of which has decided that the proper place to put blueberry applesauce is all over mommy and all over the kitchen wall. At least I caught him before he tried to feed it to his fish!!! And I was also pretty busy putting together my grab bag for the sale this weekend. I hope you like it. It is perfect for summer, especially pool and little boy layouts (of course I have a preference for designs that scream "boy").

So stop back tomorrow and get the skinny on how to get your free alpha if you buy my grab bag and make sure you pick up my Friday Freebie.

Out for a night on the town with the MOMS Club (I'm the new president--LOL)---should be fun!

Best,

Cyndi

This week the "Ready! Set! Shoot!" Photo Challenge at Divine Digital is all about nature and photography flowers with natural light. Check it out as this is the time of year when flowers are blooming all over the place and everything is green and not dried out from the summer heat! The freebie for participating is a $2 discount on anything in my store, Wetfish Designs, at Divine Digital. Since I have a lot of items that are less than $2, you should snag a couple goodies for participating. Hope you join us!

Here is the thread for the challenge: http://www.divinedigital.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2877

And here are a few of the flower photos I took to make my layout for the challenge:

I haven't had any new Memorial Day layouts to post, but as they come in I will keep posting them up until July 4th. My mother just sent me my family photos from the military so I'll be posting my layout soon.
This weekend is another Grab Bag Sale at Divine Digital and I've got a great bag of fish food for 2 bucks!!!!! It will be filled with all new things that have yet to be released, so make sure you start shopping this weekend at Divine Digital as I know my grab bag, and the bags of all the other designers, will be the best sales on the web for digi scrappers.
Best,
Cyndi

This one comes from Scrappy Diva and it is a beauty!

And here is another one from Laurie, whose father is 88 and still going strong:

And this lovely layout comes from Rose:

Keep sending me the links and I'll keep posting them. I just love seeing all these old photos. It really makes me think about the real meaning of Memorial Day. I can't wait to get a layout from someone recognizing or remembering someone in Iraq. Then it will really hit home...

Happy Memorial Day! I was so excited to find a place near my inlaws that had wireless Internet so I could update my blog and send the Liberty kit to people who requested it for my Memory project here on my blog. I am so glad that I did this as it makes me feel like I am doing something more important than just swimming this Memorial Day!

Here are two layouts I received when I opened my email this morning and I am only too excited and honored to share them:

Pat H has contributed another layout to honor her father, this time she used the Liberty kit:

This beautiful layout with the Liberty Kit comes from Laurie, who is honoring her father-in-law:

And this layout comes from Kathy, she used the freebie "Remember" kit, honoring her father:

I will post more layouts as I get them and remember, you can request the kit to remember a loved one in the military or a friend, up until July 4th. My mom is sending me some scanned images of my family military photos, so I'll be posting some, too.

Don't forget my "Ready! Set! Shoot!" Challenge over at Divine Digital. Deadline to post and receive a SNAPlet for each layout you create and post is midnight tonight! So get scrapping and posting!

Be back later tonight with hopefully some more layouts....

Best,

Cyndi

This layout comes from the Divine Digital gallery and it was created by Pat H. to showcase her father serving in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Thanks for sharing Pat!

I forgot to mention in my last post that in addition to the free Memorial Day kit I have here on my blog, I decided that I am giving out a free copy of my kit "Liberty" to anyone who wants to use the kit to remember a lost loved one who was in the military. The cost is a layout remembering someone in the military. Just email me and tell me who you are downloading this kit in memory of and I will email you a link to the kit. Then, if you don't mind, email me a link to your layout and on Monday evening I am going to do a "Memory" post and post the layouts. So email me and get your kit if you want to participate: cyndi@divinedigital.com

Thanks,
Cyndi

I gave out a freebie over National Scrapbook Day called "The Necktie." Since I took it down from my blog as a freebie I added some more papers to it and I've now put it in my store. So if you missed the chance to get it for free when it was up for NSD, you can at least get it for 50% off this weekend since my store is on sale. (coupon code: remember)

Here is the final kit---hope you like it! It is perfect for Father's Day so grab it and scrap the man in your life and/or great father to your kids!

I've had a few emails from bloggers giving me links to layouts they did with my Memorial Day freebie, "Remember." Thanks for doing that---I just love to see how other people use my stuff to preserve their memories. I'll be sending you your freebie Alpha on Monday! If you haven't done it yet, why not? You get a free alpha to match the "Remember" freebie (which also matches my "Liberty" kit) so it is worth it to let me take a peek! This offer is good until the end of July as I know many will have 4th of July as well as Memorial Day photos to scrap. If I forget, remind me (two boys in diapers leaves me a bit dazed and forgetful at times).

That's it, I'll be back Monday night with a freebie. But you know I can't sign off without posting one of my newer photos of my boys. The first is Sam. Sometimes he just gives me the craziest looks. This is one of them. I think it is precious! The second is Hank. He was hanging out in the baby pool (no water in it yet) with our dog, Gyro. I just think it is a funny picture because he is in the pool with clothes on and no water. And I also like it because I don't have many photos of our dogs with the boys that are good.

Have a safe and happy holiday,

Cyndi

I have had several emails today about the downloads being mixed up when purchasing the Liberty kit from my store. I will fix this and I have emailed the site. If you don't get your elements by late this afternoon, I will post them in my 4shared account and you can download them there. I'm not supposed to do that but I don't want you to have to wait any longer for the error to be fixed by Divine Digital.

Sorry for this mixup!

Both of these kits started out as freebies but have expanded into full size kits. So if you have the freebie versions, get the complete package! Check out my new stuff and get these two great kits plus anything else you want for 50% off using the coupon code remember

Sale lasts until Monday at midnight!

The Memorial Day freebie mini-kit "Remember" is still available here on my blog (see Thursday's post) and it matches my new "Liberty" kit! Post a layout with the "Remember" kit anywhere and send me the link and I'll send you a matching alpha!

Have a safe holiday weekend and I'll be back Monday with another freebie since I'll have some down time this weekend while grandparents are around to watch the boys,

I am so excited about my Memorial Day freebie that I put together for all of you. I have been browsing public domain images from the government and I used several in this little kit. Basically, public domain images are images belonging to the public and there is no longer a copyright on the image or there never was so they are fine for personal and commercial use. But I must warn you, if you plan on using any public domain images make sure you read the fine print so that you know for sure they are okay to use in your designs or layouts. Most of the images are scanned images of historical documents, military photos, national park images, etc. So here it is, my Memorial Day mini-kit "Remember"....Click on the image to download and remember, personal use only and comments are always read and welcome!

This little freebie is a prelude to a kit I am putting in my store for the 4th of July. Right now the kit is called "Liberty" and I am using some historical images to create the papers and elements that will give it kind of a historical/nostalgic feel. It should be pretty cool and different than anything out there for the festive fourth.

Yesterday I had a post from a blogger, "Rose," who had ordered something from store at Divine Digital and was having trouble downloading the kit. Unfortunately, sometimes these things happen. the best thing to do is email me at cyndi@divinedigital.com or wetmiller@verizon.net and I can help you out with the download process and work out any problems you are having. So Rose, email me!

Someone also posted a comment asking about the "new program" I mentioned I was using. I use Photoshop Elements 5.o and Photoshop 7 to create my designs. The program I discussed in that post was actually a set of actions called "PhotoBlast All Pro" and it is basically a set of actions for photographers to enhance their photographs. So far I really like it and I can't wait to try it out on CS2 when it arrives---yes, I bit the dust and ordered it. I was so jealous of all the designs I was seeing that I know were being made with CS2 that I just couldn't wait any longer. I use PSE 5 to make layouts and some elements but most of my kits are done in the full PS7. So I'm excited to try CS2!!!!

And to end this post I must once again plug my "Ready! Set! Shoot!" photo challenge at Divine Digital. Please join me! I am lonely with the exception of a few loyal divine angels! I am giving out a quickpage from one of my kits for EACH layout you post. So check it out, dust off the camera, go out and shoot a photo and let us see you stuff!!! Here is the link to challenge: http://www.divinedigital.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=289

Well, have a great Memorial Day weekend everyone. I know I will! If you have read this far you are in luck because my store is 50% off this weekend, starting tomorrow in honor of Memorial Day. The sale will last through Monday at midnight. I'm adding a couple new things today, so check it out and stock up. The coupon code is: remember

I actually was able to work on some photos of my boys that I took this past month and I did a couple layouts. Here they are--I think they turned out pretty good. For both layouts I used my "Grass" kit which is still not ready for the store because I can't stop adding grassy things to it!

And here are just a few photos that I worked on with a new program I have and love:

Now to the business of designing....

I am putting an add in Digital Shop Talk's newsletter for June. Here is my ad--please tell me what you think. Part of me likes it and part of me thinks that it is too "loud" with color and cluttered. It is my first time placing an ad on any website, so I'm once again expressing my newbie anxiety!!! Please leave a comment and give me some idea of whether this ad would catch your eye on a website and make you want to visit my store. The coupon in the ad is activated so go get my "Lily" kit for 40% off! Thanks for looking and I appreciate any comments you can leave me.

Memorial Day is this weekend and I can hardly believe it---time flys! I am working on a special freebie for this weekend. I'll probably post it Thursday night as sometimes when I do that I get more downloads and the "freebie hunters" pick it up for their freebie lists. So look on the site Thursday night.

Grab Bag Sale time again! June 1st, 2nd and 3rd, so mark the date and get ready to shop. $2 bags from all the Divine designers and I promise mine will be full of fun. If you grabbed my bags before you know I stock them to the rim! I will also have some kind of a store sale that weekend since the site gets a lot of traffic, and I'll have some kind of a blog party. Not sure what I'll do as I can' t do a "buy the store" sale again as too many people did that already and I haven't added enough new stuff to make that kind of sale a hit. But I'll do something so watch for news about it on my blog and via the yahoo groups if you subscribe.

My next "Ready! Set! Shoot!" Challenge starts again tomorrow at Divine Digital. I'm excited about this one so make sure you check it out and participate as you get a great freebie for the cost of a layout! Here is the link to the challenge and the details will be posted tomorrow morning: http://www.divinedigital.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=289

Have a great Tuesday (not great for me as they took Gilmore Girls off the air) and check back Thursday for my next freebie. Or check back sooner because you never know when I'm going to throw a freebie out there.

Best,

Cyndi

I have to start off this blog entry by saying how much fun I am having hosting the photo challenges at Divine Digital. I was so afraid to do this as it is something I have never done. They also want me to eventually host an online crop or chat but I'm not quite sure I'm ready for that yet! I've only done two challenges so far, but it is fun and a great way for me to get some layouts done, too. I posted my first "Ready! Set! Shoot!" challenge yesterday. Here is my layout:

And here is the link to all the details for this challenge so you can post a layout and score a freebie from me next week:

http://www.divinedigital.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2751

Well, as usual, I have a busy Friday planned so I am posting my freebie for Friday tonight. I hope you like it! I am giving away coordinating elements as freebies for my "Scrapping Take Me Away!" Photo Challenge at Divine Digital, so consider participating in the challenge and you'll get even more "grass!" The alpha is not included but I put it in the preview to tease you---go post a layout in my challenge and you'll get it! The alpha is the first freebie I am giving out. You get a second freebie if you use the Divine Digital May Mega Kit, "Digital Restoration." You have until midnight tomorrow (that's Friday) to post your layout. Here are the details...

Here is the preview of my freebie and remember, click on it to download, personal use only and leave me a comment if you download:

I will eventually add "Grass" as a full kit to my store. I really like the funky grasshoppers, don't you? I plan on making more bugs, more papers and more elements and when I get all that done it will go in my store. So grab it whilst you can!

Have a great weekend and I hope to see some of you posting some layouts in either one or both of my photo challenges!

Best,

Cyndi

I just posted my first "Ready! Set! Shoot!" photo challenge at Divine Digital. It starts today and it has to do with photographs that are wet, layouts that are wet and quotes that are wet. Sound wet? Well, check it out and give it a whirl:

I haven't made my layout yet for the challenge. I am waiting for the rain to subside a little so I can go outside and shoot something wet--probably my son as it will be hard to keep him inside if I am outside. When I get my layout done I'll post it here so everyone can see what the challenge is all about and how they so want to participate (do I sound desperate for participants?). The deadline to post is Monday, May 20th at midnight and the participation freebie is a sampler from one of my kits. Hope you can join me!

Now, onto other important things like Mother's Day. We had a great day relaxing at my inlaws. They have a pool and I swear I came home with ten sets of wet clothes (now you know where I got the idea for my photo challenge!!!) from Sam constantly jumping in the pool with his clothes and shoes on. He even jumped in wearing his pajamas! All in all it was great because I love to see my boys play with their cousins and for the first time in ages my husband actually let me take his picture with Henry. I hardly have any photos of him with my little baby and so I am happy to have these. This is my favorite and the other one is Sam in the pool with clothes on and the soggiest wet diaper I have ever seen--it was so soaked he had trouble walking when he got out of the pool:

My "Buy the Store Sale" was a big success and I am happy that I was able to give my "fans" a deal for Mother's Day. I will probably do it again next Mother's Day so if you missed out you'll have to wait until next year. I will, however, be having a sale over Memorial Day weekend and I'm putting a couple new things, one of which is patriotic, in the store. So keep an eye on my blog for details. And don't forget to come back Friday for your Friday Freebie and if you choose to participate in the photo challenge I am running at Divine Digital I promise you a good freebie is yours to be had for the price of a layout!

Until Friday,

Cyndi

For the rest of the night, instead of buying the store for $5, you can buy it for $3. That's right--$3. So go now and grab it because at midnight all the sale prices go bye bye!

Here is where you go!
The coupon code is crazymom

7 comments | Saturday, May 12, 2007

Thanks to everyone who downloaded my freebie yesterday and for those who didn't, grab it today when you download the Mother's Day Freebie as it coordinates with it and you will have more scrapping options with both freebies. The "buy the store sale" is underway and I had a few takers yesterday. I hope I get more today and tomorrow! For details on how to buy the store, see yesterday's post.

I am hosting my first ever photo challenge at Divine Digital. I think it is a good one---you tell me! Check it out and join me in this challenge that is all about blending photos and layouts that evoke a theme or feeling of "relaxation." Here is the link to the challenge and for every layout you post I give you a freebie: http://www.divinedigital.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2706

Here are two layouts that I did for the challenge:

Now, onto the Mother's Day freebie. I just love it. It has hot air balloons as the theme with the Lily colors. I had wanted to do my nursery with a hot air balloon theme but then went with cars, trucks and trains and I'm glad I did because Sam loves his room. So here is the preview. Click on the preview to download and as always, personal use only and share some joy with a comment.

Have a fantastic weekend, a great Mother's Day for all you moms and see you next week with more freebies and product updates.
Best,
Cyndi
p.s. Buy the Store Sale ends at midnight Sunday!

Surprised? Well, that's what I'm good for, lots of surprises. I sent an email but realized so many of the emails I sent came back rejected because email servers think I'm spam :(

So here are the details:

1. Buy everything in my store EXCEPT the commercial use product. This includes all the kits (even the new one I just posted this morning) and paperpacks. To do this you need to put all the products in your basket. On the shopping card page there will be a space for a coupon code. You must enter the coupon before moving on to the checkout process. The coupon code is: crazymom
2. After entering the code and making sure all the products except my commercial use textures are in your cart, move on to checkout. You should see a discount of $12.50. Why? Because everything in my store with the exception of the commercial use product totals $17.50. With the $12.50 discount, your total will be $5. If you have already purchased something in my store, you can't return it just so you can get it at this reduced price. Get another copy and give it to a fellow scrapper!

Now, more about the blog party being held at my blog all weekend:

I posted my Friday Freebie last night. It coordinates with my newest kit in the store, "Lily." Tomorrow I will post another coordinating "Lily" mini-kit for Mother's Day. So download away and leave comments for this crazy designer who is practically giving away her stuff just because she loves her mom and loves being a mom, too.

Also, feel free to send people here to snag the freebies and the coupon code. I like seeing my blog stats go up! Makes a designer happy!

I'm going to leave you with a sneak peek at Saturday's Mother's Day freebie:

Make sure you come on back tomorrow to grab it!

Best,

Cyndi

I am so excited about my new kit, "Lily." I love Lily Pulitzer designs, especially her vintage fabrics. Her clothes are oh so colorful and cheery but oh so expensive and way beyond my SAHM budget. So I was looking at a website that had some of her collections and I was inspired to create a kit that is everything "Lily" and everything I can't afford but want to play with as far as color, design, patterns, etc. So today's freebie and the freebie tomorrow for Mother's Day coordinate with my new kit in my store at Divine Digital. All together, between the two freebies and the store kit (which you can snag for one day on Sunday during the $5 buys the store sale. I love the colors in this kit because they are so versatile. They are perfect for summer layouts, baby layouts (especially the balloon papers and elements) and just great to scrap photos of you or your daughter or someone you know in Lily Pulitzer dresses. I had so much fun that I will probably expand on this kit and move on to other Lily colors and themes. Here's a preview of the full kit I plan on stocking tomorrow in my store at Divine Digital, so get prepared for what is in store over the next few days:

And here is a preview of my Friday freebie, although technically it is a Thursday freebie. But tomorrow I have a lot to do and I don't want to post it late so that the freebie hunters miss it. I love those guys, especially Selena who helped me out today in a major way and helped me help a young girl with body image issues feel good about herself. So enjoy the freebie and remember, personal use only and gotta leave a comment to keep the designer happy and inspired! Click on the preview to download!

And Saturday I will be posting my Mother's Day "Lily" mini-kit so make sure you stop back, say hi, check out the goods and a photo or two I'm bound to post as I have a ton of my boys from this past week. And if you aren't on my email list, get on it if you want to buy my store for Mother's Day for $5. I am only sending the coupon code via email to my customers and blog buddies. To get on it, send me an email: cyndi@divinedigital.com
Have a great night and happy freebie Friday,
Cyndi

This weekend is Mother's Day and I just love this day. I love loving my mother and love being a mother. We have a special family day planned and I have a special SALE planned just for my blogging buddies and current customer list (if you aren't on it and haven't received emails from me it isn't too late---just send me an email: cyndi@divinedigital.com).

On Sunday, just Sunday, in honor of all the Mother's who scrap their hearts out, you can purchase my entire store (yes, that's right ENTIRE store) for $5!!!!!! On Monday you can't. So make sure to leave some time on Sunday to take advantage of this great sale and stay tuned for details on the coupon code I will only send by email that you will need to participate in this great sale of mine. Again, if you have never received a promotional email from me or a thank you email for purchasing a product of mine, you aren't on this special list. Get on it by emailing me: cyndi@divinedigital.com I do not share this list with anyone so there is no need to worry about giving me your email address.
I was supposed to host a journaling challenge at Divine Digital this weekend in honor of their "Digital Restoration" mega kit being released and their "Scrapping Take Me Away" event. Since I haven't heard back from anyone, I guess I'm not doing this. But you are the ones who luck out because since I haven't had to work on my challenge, I have two new things to add to my store that I know you will love. And these new items will be a part of the private sale I am having. Yeah!! I will also have a great Mother's Day freebie posted Saturday as Sunday we will be away with my husband's family. So make sure you blog on by Saturday and pick up another gift from me to celebrate being a mother or having a mother!

As soon as I have a preview of the Digital Restoration mega kit, I will post it here so everyone can check it out. I loved doing my bit for this and from what I've seen from the other designers, it will be a fantastic buy.

Have a great sunny day,
Cyndi

I hope everyone had a wonderful NSD weekend and snagged lots of goodies both here and around the web at scrap stores and blogs. Overall it was a stressful weekend for me both with uploading freebies and my photography business. I had five photo shoots on Sunday and it was crazy! Here is a really nice portrait I did for Heather who is graduating this year:

And here is another that I like:

And another one:

She is such a beautiful girl and I have so many fantastic pictures that I don't know where to begin with Photoshop!!! She obviously can't have all of them for her senior portrait and I want to make sure I touch up the best ones that I think I would want if I was graduating and handing out my picture to friends and family. If you have time, let me know which one you prefer. I always love another opinion and comments on my blog!
So now that the crazy weekend is over I can post a "mixed bag" of freebies. These are freebies that didn't make my grab bag during the sale this past weekend at Divine Digital and a few things left over from Hank's Kit. I was going to post these Sunday but by the time all the photo shoots were done, I was done. So here they are, I hope you have fun with this bag of treats. Click on the words to download (my dog pooped all over my living room so I don't have the time to make a preview!!!!)

I'll be back Friday for sure with a freebie and if you haven't downloaded the kit I posted this weekend, "The Necktie," do it now because tomorrow I'm taking down the links so I can get it ready for my store for Father's Day.

Best,

Cyndi

Okay, I am convinced that unless I create kits that are girly, no one visits my blog and downloads my freebies. Whenever I post a freebie that is even remotely feminine, I get lots of comments and downloads. When I post boy or male type freebies, I hardly get anyone visiting or downloading. Being the mom of two boys, this bums me out because I like to create kits I can scrap with and most of my photos are of my boys. So I am kind of bummed out because I put so much effort into today's freebie and I haven't even had 100 downloads yet. Could it be that everyone out there hunting down freebies and deals is after pink and green and flowers? Oh, well, the day is not over and perhaps everyone is so busy at others sites they'll get here eventually.

Update on my grab bag: I'm holding strong at number seven and I can't believe that no one who has purchased this grab bag has posted here so they get their free kit! Oh, this is just such a day I didn't expect. On a brighter note, the spring fair we went to today was fun and there were lots of firetrucks for Sam to drool over and lots of yummys for me to eat. I purchased four pussy willow rooted stems and I hope that by this time next year I have some beautiful pussy willow bushes in my yard.

Well, now that I've had my pity party, rambled and shared my depressing outlook of NSD thus far for me, here is the rest of the freebie kit for today, "The Necktie." Have a great rest of the day and I'll be back tomorrow morning and evening with the last NSD freebies. I have a couple photography jobs tomorrow so I'm not sure what time I'll be posting. Click on the previews to download:

Good morning! Happy NSD! Today is the official day, so I can say that this morning to everyone stopping by to check out my goodies. I've got a great kit today that I am giving away in four parts. This is a kit I designed for Father's Day and I'm calling it "The Necktie." It is a fun kit with guy colors and office/hubby related elements for you to scrap all the busy 9-5 working men in your life. On Monday this kit will be removed from my blog so I can put it in my store (of course I will add more to it!) in time for Father's Day. So get it while you can! Here is the preview of the first two freebies (two more later today so come on back)---click on the images to download and remember, personal use only and leave a comment here on my blog or at 4shared if you download:

Now on to the contest or rather giveaway I am going to run today and tomorrow. My grab bag at Divine Digital has moved up from being 9 out of 10 on the bestseller list to 7 out of 10. I want to try and get higher (can you tell I am competitive?) on that list so I'm having a contest/giveaway. For every person who purchases my grab bag AND leaves a comment here on my blog telling other blog travelers how fantastic my grab bag is, I will send you my "Be Kind" kit (yes, the full kit that is in my store). I will email you a link to download it at 4shared. Make sure you send me an email so I know your email to send you the link: cyndi@divinedigital.com If you don't send me an email telling me you posted a comment on my blog about my grab bag, I can't send you your free kit :( So make sure you do that after you post the comment. Here's a preview of the "Be Kind" kit I am giving away:

I will be back later on this afternoon with the rest of "The Necktie" for everyone. I am taking the boys to a "Spring Fling" in a nearby town. Lots of firetrucks, carnival games and vendors selling delicious bad-for-you food that I can't wait to eat. So everyone will have to hold on until we get back to grab the rest of today's freebie kit.

Have a great NSD!!!

Cyndi
