Yes, I am no longer the grouchy mother of two sick boys. Now it is just one sick boy! And, of course, we will celebrate the diminishing number of tissues being used and hours of sleep being lost with a freebie!

Hope you like it :) Fishies aren't included, sorry! Click on the image to download!

Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments and words of kindness wishing me and my boys healthier days ahead. I see the light at the end of the tunnel and I truly believe tomorrow will be a less snotty day!
I must also thank the goddess Selena for sending huge numbers of scrappers my way who otherwise probably wouldn't have arrived at my little blog. Thanks again, Selena! Love your freebie hunter blinkie!

Enjoy this freebie and the coupon I've enclosed for my birthday kit. It will arrive in my store early next week and I'll post an update here on my blog when it gets there safe and sound.

Have a wonderful Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Best,

Cyndi

Well, I'm down with a cold and so are my boys, so I'm posting tomorrow's freebie now while I have the energy and a chance! And, since I'm posting early, I might just make all the famous blog freebie lists! So far Selena is my girl as she always grabs my freebies and gets people here to my blog to download them. Thanks Selena!

Here is a goodie bag from my birthday kit. I was originally not going to put this kit in my shop at Divine Digital, but I changed my mind because I liked the direction it was taking as I was creating it---it was getting bigger and bigger by the minute. And, since this kit is a lot different than my other designs, I wanted to see if I could get some new traffic to my store with a different style. Right now my "A Spring Garden Freebie Add-On" is the best seller at Divine Digital which cracks me up because how can it be a best "seller" when it is free? Well, I'm flattered that everyone likes it but I'd be more flattered if something I sold was a bestseller! Then I would really feel like I've arrived.

So this freebie includes a number of cute things I left out of the kit to give to all my blogging buddies, even those who do not leave comments :(. Since I am sick and tired and grouchy (can you tell?), I skipped the preview design and I'm just going with this beautiful lunch bag, so the goodies are not unveiled until you download (believe me, you'll like them if you've liked the puzzle frames and flowers I've handed out so far). There are elements and papers in this goodie bag since it is Friday (well, almost)! And of course, I included a coupon for 25% off you entire order from my store (hint, hint...) Click on the preview to download, be nice and leave a comment, stop by my store and check out my stuff and use your coupon and remember, personal use only:

If I am feeling better and my boys are feeling better, I might blog again over the weekend with another freebie so check back!

Best,

Cyndi

I wanted to post tomorrow's freebie tonight because I have an early doctor appointment with my son and then lots of stuff to do. Here it is, a bunch of funky flowers. These are also a part of the birthday kit that I am doing as a personal project (not a kit I'll sell in my store). So if you have girls and birthday photos to scrap, these flowers might come in handy and they will coordinate with the puzzle frames I posted earlier today.

Here's the preview. Click on it to download from 4shared and remember, personal use only and leave a comment if you download. Your comments inspire me to keep on keeping on!

Have a great day tomorrow!

Best, Cyndi

Everyday in my email box I get an email called "Daily Good" from a nonprofit group, Charity Focus. It is a really cool organization. Each email contains an inspirational quote, some Good News of the Day (also inspiring and makes you think), and "Be the Change," a link to a story somewhere on the web about someone trying to be the change they wish to see in the world. Today the quote was so wonderful that I wanted to share it with my freebies because these freebies make me smile. I don't know if it is the color combo, the cartoonish aspect of it or just because when I made these little frames I knew people would like them and people would be smiling in the photos placed in the frames. So here is the quote, followed by the freebies:

Smile at each other, smile at your wife, smile at your husband, smile at your children, smile at each other -- it doesn't matter who it is -- and that will help you to grow up in greater love for each other. --Mother Teresa

Isn't that a great quote? Will be on my fridge in no time. If by chance you are interested in receiving the "Daily Good" email everyday, and I highly encourage it because we all need a little good news and inspiration in our lives, here is how to subscribe:

Go to www.charityfocus.org and click on inspiration. You will see a number of newsletters that they publish so choose whichever one(s) you want. I just get the Daily Good. And I love it, look forward to reading it every day with my morning cup of coffee. It also gives me great scrapping quotes!

Now on to the freebie. I am working on a birthday kit because I realized I didn't have any birthday type papers and elements to scrap Sam's second birthday photos. And Hank will be one in July so this was a much-needed kit for me personally. I went with bright colors and they can be girl or boy or both if you have twins. You can piece multiple photos together with the puzzle pieces, or just use them individually. Lots of possibilities here! Here is a preview and just click on it to download:And, of course, we have to have a smile photo because of the quote I included:

Have a great day today and smile at yourself, your kids--anyone. Just smile :)

Best,

Cyndi

There is just something about Mondays that drags you down. Instead of seeing it as a fresh start to a new week in life, I don't. At least not this week. It is the day my husband goes back to work and I'm left alone with the kiddies, and this particular Monday we are all down with a cold. I have to look forward to a whole day of chasing after my kids with the snot sucker. What fun! I did manage to find some time in my cold-medicine induced haze to play on my computer and roll out some freebies. But first, some business from Hank's Kit. I offered to anyone who emailed me a 50% off coupon for this kit and no one emailed me :( My poor email account is depressed about this. Poor little Hank is depressed about this. So I am just going to post the coupon here and hope that someone sees what a fantastic deal this is (especially if you check out how MUCH stuff is in the full kit). Click on the coupon and it will take you directly to my store where you can check it out and purchase it if you like it.

Now for the "weekend of illness freebies" as I am calling them....

if for some reason 4shared asks for a password, it is divine...

I was in a grungy kind of mood and this is the result. I added it to my "dream" livingroom assortment of papers and elements so these might work with some of the living room freebies you may have already downloaded. Here they are:

And this could be a journaling box for a grungy page

or even a heritage page since it looks old...And this is just an oval frame. You could make it into a mirror if you know how to do that with Photoshop, PSP, or whatever program you use to scrap with. Has a lot of possibilities.

Well, I hope you like these freebies that are a result of many kleenex tissues, coughing fits and shots of cold medicine. And he, leave a comment. This stuffed up, cranky mommy could use some love this morning. Have a great day and I hope it is snot free...

Best,

Cyndi

I am so happy to finally be done with this kit! As much fun as I had creating it, I found I created way too much and deciding what to put it in was tough. This is the biggest kit I've done to date. Here is the full preview but keep scrolling down because I have a special treat for all of you:

Ready for your treat? If you send me an email (cyndi@divinedigital.com) I will email you back a coupon to get this kit for 50% off! So I hope to hear from some of you and I'd love to see any layouts you do with this kit (and all my other kits) when you post them.

Have a great Saturday,

Cyndi

I am just getting ready to put "Hank's Kit" in my store and so I have a freebie for you that is basically all the pieces I couldn't fit in the kit because I just didn't know when to stop making stuff and it go to be too large. So you get the lucky leftovers! I had a lot of fun making this kit! Here are two layouts I did of Hank with the kit---

And here is the freebie. Click on the preview to download via 4shared:

Have a great weekend everyone and cash in those coupons I've been giving out!

I just loaded a set of textures for commercial use in my store. This is a first for me as I have never shared the texture files I use to make my papers before. I have this habit of always having my camera with me so when I see something cool, like a splat of paint or bark on a tree, I snap away. And on our recent trip to Florida I took so many nature photos of the ocean, sand, plants, flowers, shells, rocks, etc. that I have yet to even come near to viewing all of them or using them as texture files in Photoshop. So I put together a set of eight that I have pretty much exhausted in my designs and put them up for sale so that other designers can utilize them in their kits. I hope they sell! In case you are a designer, here is a preview:

So I also thought that I'd share a little tutorial with you on how to make a texture from a photo and use it in Photoshop. Here goes (this is my first attempt at doing any kind of tutorial, so don't expect anything too fancy):

1. Open a photo of a texture or element you like in Photoshop or PSE.
2. Go to Image--Mode--Grayscale. Click yes to discard color.
3. Go to Enhance--Adjust Lighting--Brightness/Contrast. Select contrast.
4. Take the contrast as far as you can go to the right so that the image is mostly all black and white but not so black and white that you lose detail (in other words, very contrasty with some gray still left in).
5. Crop it into a square if you like to scrap 12x12 or similar as this makes it easier when using the texturizer in the filter menu.
6. Save the file as a PSD file in a location where you know it will be when you go to load it in the texturizer.
7. Open a blank document in Photoshop. Color it. Go to Filter--Texture--Texturizer. Click on the little arrow in a circle next the name of the currently selected texture. It will say "load texture." Click on it and find the file you just turned into a texture. Highlight it and click open. Now it is loaded in your texturizer and you just need to play around with the percentage and relief options to get the paper to look the way you want it to.

It is really very easy so go ahead and try it out. Keep in mind that this process works best with a photo taken with a really good lens and lots of megapixels. I shoot with a Canon Digital Rebel XT and for mostly all my textures I shoot with a macro 50 mm lens.

Here is a free texture for anyone who wants to make their own paper and practice using the texturizer like I just explained. This is a texture file I made from a photo of sand at the beach. Have fun with it! To use it, right click on it save it. It is a jpeg. Open it up in Photoshop and save it as a PSD file. No need to do any of the contrast stuff as I've already done it. Skip to step 7 in my tutorial and make a textured paper with it. You also have the option of opening it up as a layer and under layer menu select overlay and adjust the opacity to your liking. This is also a fun way to make paper but you can't add the relief to it that you can when you go through the texturizer under the filter menu.
Here is the texture freebie---personal and commercial use okay, no credit needed but would be nice :)

This is a sample of what it looks like as an overlay (I used a solid color orange background and didn't change the opacity at all--kind of cool, huh?):

And this is a sample of the same orange background texturized using the texture psd file in the texturizer option under the filter menu:

As you can see, there is a BIG difference between using it as an overlay and manipulating it with the texturizer. Both are great ways to make papers and elements, so give it a whirl and the next time you come across something interesting with great texture, take a photo and try making your own texture files. My first tutorial in the field of digital scrapbooking is officially over. Hope you learned something!
Best,
Cyndi

What can I say, I'm being kind. In addition, you get another coupon in the download after you purchase for a future visit and purchase at my store. Here's a closer look at the full kit:

Today is my husband's 38th birthday. I gave him gifts, made him a nice dinner and a cake. But now I'm giving a gift to you. For one day my Livingroom Part 2 is free! So tomorrow (that's Wednesday) night it will go back to being just an old tube of lipstick. Enjoy!

Yesterday I had a few precious hours to myself which is rare, considering I am a SAHM with two boys in diapers. Anyway, when I get such precious hours to myself I usually hang at the local coffee house, the Kind Cafe. The theme at this place is "be kind." Everything is organic, they encourage natural living and most, if not all, of the art they own and display is made of recycled metals (one of the owners is an artist who specialty is metal design). There is always cool music playing and the good folks who work there are as kind as can be to everyone who walks in the door. In addition, they host art exhibits and I was lucky enough to show my photography there in February. So as I was sitting there yesterday, I noticed one of the signs near the garbage can where you throw away cups and place dirty dishes. It said "be kind." And it struck me. I need to do a kit based on the colors and overall kind theme of this great place where I create so many layouts and kits. So I started working on it yesterday and put together a little freebie because, after all, I was in the mood to "be kind." The colors in the kit are the colors of the walls and fabrics of the cafe and the metal elements all represent the metal artwork on display by the owner. I also included some word art in the main kit, basically some of my favorite quotes about charity and kindness.

Now, for this freebie. You get three textured papers, 2 tags and five metal elements, including a smiley face, three trees (i.e. recycle, organic, etc) and one cluster frame. And of course, a coupon to get some goodies at my store. They are having a contest over at Divine Digital for highest sales and I'm aiming high, so cash in those coupons and help the newest designer on the block get her work noticed! The full version of the Be Kind kit will be stocked tomorrow so stop by my shop and check it out. Click on the preview to download from 4shared and remember, personal use only!

And this is Sam, the son I haven't managed to introduce on this blog. He just turned two and I love him to death!

And here is a sneak peek at the full Be Kind kit that will be in my store soon:

Have a great day and hey, be kind to someone, especially if you download this freebie or any other freebies floating around the web today. Designers love feedback and comments, and they especially love it when you visit their stores and see all the other goodies they have to offer you as a digital scrapper. Be kind today....

Best,

Cyndi

They were predicting a huge snow storm coming our way today and I am so happy it didn't come. I'm done with snow and cold. Bring on the sunshine and heat! So since it is a rainy day and my share of the painting of Hank's room is done for now (I trim and cut in), I made two alphas to go with my first livingroom freebie and the second one that is my "tube of lipstick." (see previous post). Hope you like it and leave me a comment if you snag it. Have a great week and keep checking back as I've got more fun freebies planned. Click on the image to download this set and its green partner from my 4shared acccount. No passwords.

Yes, that is right, it is yet another gift with purchase (aka tube of lipstick). Last time it was an alpha to go with my A Spring Garden kit (you still get that if you buy the full kit!), this time it is part 2 of the Livingroom. Purchase ANYTHING in my store, even using coupons I may have given you, and I will send you this mini-kit that I am calling "The Livingroom Part 2." I'm having a lot of fun playing with color schemes for my dream living room so I am sure there will be more to come as freebies or tubes of lipstick. And it is just a coincidence that these colors (not the green tone) are colors of lipstick I wear and buy! Click on the image and it will take you directly to my store. I hope you get this little gift (gosh, I feel like the lady at the cosmetic counter) and make lots of great layouts with it!

Now, for all you mothers out there, I need some opinions. I am running an advertisement in the local paper's Mother's Day edition for my photography business (I photograph kids). I can't decide which ad to put in the paper so I am taking an opinion poll. Leave a comment and let me know which of the two you prefer. One has the line about giving the gift of memories (not sure if that is tacky) and the other has a different color tone to it and less wording (no mushy memory stuff). So if you were a mom looking at this ad, which would make you want to book a session with me? Every tenth person who leaves a comment with their vote gets my tube of lipstick (above kit, not an actual tube of my lipstick) free! Thanks! And yes, this is my little Hank. My other son, Sam, just won't sit still these days for his mom to take his portrait (he just turned two).

I'm working on a new kit and I am using textures, colors and patterns for my "dream" living room. In other words, the living room I hope to have someday after the invasion of cars, trucks and noisy toys has passed (many years to go!). This all came about because I was looking at paint swatches for my son's room. Hank sleeps in the dining room because we haven't gotten around to redecorating the guest room. Probably because it involves me having to get rid of clothes, furniture and other things I have a hard time letting go of for sentimental reasons. But, Hank can't sleep in the dining room forever, so out came the paint swatches and my mind started racing with color ideas for his new room and the rest of our house. So I was inspired to start a new kit, "The Livingroom." This kit will probably not be in my store until next month, but this mini-kit is a preview of what is to come. I hope you like it and use the coupon to visit my store (it is included in the download). As always, personal use only and please leave a comment if you download. It helps keep the freebies coming, believe me! Click on the image to download...

Have a great day and I hope you enjoy the freebie,

Cyndi

Technology can really be wonderful but sometimes it can be the biggest headache in the world!!!! I have been having some trouble uploading my kits and paper packs to Divine Digital and so far nothing I do or they do is working and all my files end up corrupt or not downloadable. So frustrating! The folks at Divine Digital have just been the best but I have had some customers who are not too happy and that makes me sad :(

So, if you are reading this and ordered something from me at Divine Digital (freebie or purchase) and can't download it, PLEASE email me so I can get you the files you need asap: cyndi@divinedigital.com

In light of all this chaos with uploading and downloading, I did manage to get a freebie together for today that will hopefully make up for some of the frustration my customers have experienced. Here is a set of glittery stars that will match Hank's Kit, a soon to be released kit of mine at Divine Digital. Until we figure out what is going on with the file transfers, I'm not adding anything new to the store so it could be a week or so before Hank's Kit makes an appearance. In the meantime, here are some stars. I hope you like them! Click on the image to download from 4shared...

And this is Hank. I just took this photo the other day and since this will be his kit, I thought he deserved a photo op. He just turned 8 months old and is such a fun baby. I feel so blessed...
Here's hoping today I get all my files uploaded successfully and my customers and Divine Digital staff are happy with me again....
Best,
Cyndi

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! I just stocked my store with a full version of the freebie I gave away on Easter, my Funky Fish Kit. Here's a preview and if you click on the previews it will take you right to my store:

The only thing this kit includes that the freebie does would be the three ribbons. So if you liked my Funky Fish Freebie, stop by my shop and get the whole kit!!! And use those coupons I've been sending out for people who have either purchased products from my store or downloaded the freebie in my store (hint, shop with me and you get a coupon for a future purchase!)

Also, if you haven't downloaded my other freebies, get them while you can because I'm running out of room on 4shared and I'll be deleting them later this week.

That's about it for today. Get funky with my fish!!!

Best,

Cyndi

I know that Easter doesn't officially begin until midnight, but I wanted to make sure I got this posted so everyone can get their freebie from me this Easter. Since my little son's fish, Otis, is still alive and swimming, I made a little kit for him. And of course there has to be some fish swimming around Wetfish Designs! Here it is---click on the preview to download:

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you leave a comment if you download or share you layouts--feedback really helps!

Happy Easter,

Cyndi

Just a quick post to remind you about the Grab Bag Sale at Divine Digital. I've got a bag in the mix and it aims to please! Make sure you check back tomorrow for an Easter Freebie....have a great day!

I am so excited that I get to give out my first "Friday Freebie!" For so long I have enjoyed the Friday Freebies from other designers that now I get to give one out in return. Yeah! This is a paper from a kit I am working on called "Boca Grande." My husband and I got married there (it is in Florida) and we were there last month. I took a lot of texture photos and beach photos to make into papers and elements. This is the first page and it will go great with any of your upcoming or previous beach photos. It will also go perfectly with my "Sandy Days" kit over in my shop at Divine Digital. Click on the preview to download...and remember, personal use only.

I'm trying to keep a steady pace with designing, but it is tough with two boys in diapers! I did, however, manage to load two new paperpacks into my shop. The first is "A Preppy Girl" and the second is "A Spring Garden Paper Pack Add-On." For those of you who purchased or downloaded either of my Spring Garden kits (free one and the full kit), both of these paper packs will accent them nicely. And I've priced them at $1.50 each so they are an affordable gift for your personal digital Easter basket! Here is a preview and if you want to check them out in my store, just click on the preview and it will take you there. And, to celebrate my son's fish "Otis" surviving the night (he is looking a little ill and not swimming around the tank too much), I've created a coupon for the Preppy Girl Paper Pack. Type in Otis as the coupon code and you'll get 10% off.

And of course there are always exciting things going on over at Divine Digital but this Saturday promises to be extra special as it is their Grab Bag Sale. Of course I have a grab bag in there so make sure you check it out! All the grab bags are $2 and what you get is a "mystery" since all you get in the preview is a picture of a bag. But I promise I stashed some really awesome goodies in my bag so make sure you check out the Grab Bag Sale this weekend. It starts Saturday at noon. Here is the ad so you know all the details:

Here's hoping you have a great Easter or Passover holiday and say a prayer for Otis. He needs it...
Best,
Cyndi

I am still slowly learning how to be a designer, at least in the selling part. Figuring out what to upload, how to upload it, where to upload it, etc. etc. has been a real learning experience for me. Thanks to all of you who tried to purchase my kits but couldn't. But guess what? Now you can! I fixed all the kinks in my store and it should be working now for people to purchase and use the fish food coupon to get $1 off my Sandy Days kit. Thanks for your patience and if you still have trouble, please email me: wetmiller@verizon.net

I like this whole freebie thing. Whenever I go to my 4shared account and see how many people have downloaded my stuff, it makes me feel so good! So here is another freebie for you, a sticker from my upcoming "Hank's Kit." I based this whole kit on the colors and theme of a sleeper my little Hank wore until about a month ago when he got too big. It was a cream colored sleeper with green, blue, red and yellow dinos on it, along with some palm trees. So that should give you a pretty good hint as to what the whole kit will be like! Here's the sticker, hope you like it! Click on the image to download...

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Okay, I am still new to being a designer and learning the inner workings of xcart, the system used at Divine Digital. So I got some emails about my coupon not working for the Sandy Days kit and I want everyone to know that I fixed it! Enter "fish food" (make sure you use lower case) upon check-out and it will work now so that you get a dollar off. So here is another freebie to make up for all the confusion over the fish food. This is a frame that I love from a kit I am working on, "Hank's Kit." It is for my little son Hank who is 8 months old. I'm hoping to finish the kit and have it in my store soon. If I get at least 500 downloads on this freebie I'll upload another freebie from Hank's kit tomorrow, so pass on the word! Click on the image to download. It is a png file so once the image appears in full, just right click and "save as."

And, to further celebrate my new kit, "A Spring Garden," I am gifting everyone who purchases the kit from my store at Divine Digital with a cute matching alpha for "A Spring Garden":

It is kind of like one of those free gifts you get at the cosmetic counter when you buy something. This is my version of free lipstick! So go on over to my store at Divine Digital and purchase my newest kit and I'll send you this fun alpha to go along with it! Make sure your email address is included when you check out so I can send you the download link.
Have a great day!

For those of you who don't know, I am one of the new designers at Divine Digital. I am so excited about this! I have one kit, "Sandy Days," that has been in my shop for a few weeks and I just added a new one in time for spring, "A Spring Garden." To celebrate this new venture for me and this new spring kit, I am giving away a minikit that goes with it as a freebie:

Also, to promote my other kit, "Sandy Days," I have a discount code for everyone visiting this blog and checking out my stuff. The code is "Fish Food" and when buying the "Sandy Days" kit you enter this code in the discount code section when you checkout and you will receive $1 off the kit!

I hope to be adding more kits and element packs to my store at Divine Digital this week, so keep checking my store and my blog for updates and freebies!

Also, my links have expired for my blog freebies "Sam's Kit" and my "Valentine's Kit." In celebration of my new deal with Divine Digital, I am activating these links today so get them while you can! If they aren't activited right away, check back as sometimes 4shared takes awhile.

To download the freebie, click on the image or go here. Since this freebie is now in my store it has to be downloaded directly from Divine Digital so please take the time to register and download it! And of course, check out all the other great stuff in the boutique, not just my stuff but other designers' stuff, too. There is some really great stuff!

Best,

Cyndi
